Candle care is cool.
Caring for a candle is like perfecting your signature brew - or that one houseplant you've somehow kept alive.
Show it a little patience + love and it will thrive.
-
Burn for at least 2 hours on the first use.
Burn your candle until the entire top layer melts. This prevents that dreaded tunnel effect. Like brewing a cup of tea – patience is key for the best results!
-
Trim the wick before each burn.
Before every use, trim the wick by 1/4 inch (5mm). A short wick means a cleaner, longer lasting burn.
-
Keep away from drafts and flammable items.
Keep the wax free from debris, like matchsticks and wick trimmings. A clean candle is a happy candle!
-
Don't burnout.
Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Too long and it will have too much hot energy – much like you after one too many double espressos.
-
Be a responsible candle owner.
Burn your candle on a stable, heat resistant surface, out of reach from children or pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
Know when to stop.
Discontinue use when 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom of the jar to prevent overheating.
Following these tips will ensure your candle burns cleanly, safely and lasts for the maximum amount of burn time.
